Looking into counselling can feel like a big step but you’re here now and that matters. Counselling can feel daunting, especially with so many different approaches out there so it’s completely understandable to wonder what will be right for you as not every style suits every person or situation. The good news is, research shows that one of the most important parts of effective therapy is the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist.
If you choose to work with me, my hope is that we can build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, respectful, and open; a space where you can explore whatever is causing you distress, and find a way forward that feels lighter and more manageable.
I am trained in pluralistic psychotherapeutic counselling, which means I can draw on a range of different approaches depending on what you think sounds most helpful for you. A person centred approach underpins all my work. I also enjoy being creative with the work we do together, exploring options and being open to ideas.
I offer sessions for people of all ages, either in person at my private practice near Abergavenny or online.
Because it’s important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you chose, I offer a free 30-minute consultation where you can ask me any questions you may have and get a sense of whether we can work together.
